| BOWES PERFORMANCE V-BELTS |
| Fits all popular passenger car and light truck applications. The raw edge laminated construction makes a heavy duty belt which dissipates heat quickly. This is extremely important with the high underhood temperatures of today's engines. Bowes laminated V-Belts are ideally suited for overloaded drives. Engineered to absorb greater shock loads, as typical with piston-type air conditioning compressors. The laminated fabric layers of these belts allow gradual engagement of the compressor clutch, thereby reducing he risk of belt breakage. Polyester cords give maximum stretch resistance for the life of the belt, despite repeated overloads and shocks. All V-Belts are manufactured to resist deteriorating effects of oil, grease, and high temperatures. The Bowes' Belt numbering system tells the belt size, the first two numbers are the top width in 1/32" and the last three are the circumference. | BOWES PERFORMANCE K-BELTS |
| Same construction and materials used in Original Equipment serpentine belts. Bowes K-Belts are designed to resist surface fatigue and provide resistance to abrasion and the effect of oil, grease, and heat. Stronger reinforcement cords carry high horsepower loads without stretching. Specially compounded synthetic molded rubber ribs provide high strength, wear resistance, and long life. Bowes K-Belts offer equalized pressure over driving surfaces and provide greater flexibility and power transmission. |

| TIMING BELTS |
| Bowes Timing Belts are used on overhead camshaft-type engines manufactured with a tough wear-resistant fabric with cog surface. These belts meet OEM specifications with high tensile strength cord and has high resistance to oil, grease, and heat. The molded cogs provided constant slip-proof power transmission. |

| BELT RACKS |
| Bowes offers two types of rack. A wood rack (37427) designed to hang the belts on wire arms and the belts face forward. The prong rack (shown) (37428) is an ideal storage system where space is a problem. The belts are stocked sideways for the best use of space. |

| BELT TENSION GAUGE |
| Modern engines require more belts to pull greater loads. Improperly tensioned belts cause slippage, squealing, heat buildup, and premature failure. Engineers recommend careful belt tensioning. The Belt Tension Gauge (shown) (77117) allows belts to be installed at the proper tension. |
